Sometimes you may be a tourist.

Omaruru is a cozy little town right in the centre of the Erongo region in Namibia. Despite its modest size, Omaruru is still interesting and well worth a visit.

An eight meter tall wooden giraffe stands at the entrance to the village. It belongs to the carving of Tikoloshe and can hardly be overlooked. You are welcome to observe the carvers as they work on the root wood of the Mopane tree. It is also possible, of course, to purchase these interesting and inventive pieces of art.

Tourists interested in Namibian history should visit the museum and the Wronsky House. Chocolate lovers should not miss the chance of visiting the local chocolate factory and take a walk through this paradise. You can also go to the Kristall Kellerei (winery) to taste Namibian and South African wines.

Maybe you are also in the mood to visit the nursery in Omaruru and to get to know the place where we buy our fresh vegetables.

After gathering enough impressions, you can sit down and relax in one of the comfortable cafés or restaurants and enjoy the African atmosphere of this small town.

If you are on a self-drive safari, you can make all these tours easily on your own. Should you only have a rather small or even no car, you are welcome to book guided tours with us.
